What about wind screen wipers not adjusted for right hand drive production. Now that's just sloppy engineering which would.....dare i say it?....never happen with Lexus.
There's a large unswept area on the top right hand corner of the drivers side of the windscreen in right hand drive cars.

Im also concerned as the level of side vision to oncoming traffic, because of the Pillar between the doors, seems to be overly large and makes the view difficult. Im being very cautions when Im turning left (owned car now since Sept 07), as oncoming traffic is not as clear as Id expect. Im always asking my wife to lean back and keep watch for me and then I also double check.
It just seems a little more difficult that my old GM Aussie Holden Commodore, but learning to make sure Im clear before I turn LEFT.

I thought of another one last night: You can't truly turn "off" the Idrive screen at night. You can hit "display off" but it still "glows" black. Why can't they just make it actually turn off all light so that you can have a nice dark interior at night?

1. No place to put cell phone.
My dealer gave me an orginial BMW supplied Nokia phone cradle/charger which sits inside the centre arm rest.
I put my sunglasses in the little felt-lined drawer underneath the headlight switch. Coins go in the ash tray.
Agree that the drink cup holders are too small to hold anything other than minature sized drink bottles.
So little thought put into making life easier for the driver....may be they thought we would be so impressed with i-Drive, that nothing else would matter.![Frown](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/sad.gif)

Also - the way the mirrors adjust when you put it in reverse. I am trying to back out of a narrow spot in my garage and instead of seeing if I have clearance - I am looking at the ground.........

Im happy with my car, and the following list doesnt really reflect it, but here goes!
where the front and rear fog lamp switches are placed. On a RHD car at least, you cant see them as they are laid out to be under the arc of the wheel. They are also well disguised either side of the lights switch. First time i tried to turn them on in fog it was not easy!
Also, in UK market, not fitting a $15 torch in the glove box, even tho the socket is there.
Cruise switches shoudl be on wheel like E46.
Also agree that std aircon looks a cheaper implementation on the dash than E90.
Not allowing MP3 playback on lower model cars on the CD - most aftermarket players nowadays have this.
No water temp guage. If you enter the hidden diagnostics menu, the car knows the exact temp, but bmw only want you to know this when it becomes a problem.
Electronic indicators and the way you have to tip them same way as direction indicated to cancel. This is opposite to 'normal' indicators and just confuses until you get used to it. Why make something so std on all other cars so different?
Condition based servicing. Ive got a service coming up in 300 miles, then gott go back in 5k as the service doesnt include an oil change to that time. Also looks a good way to sell brake pads before you really need them
comments :
Isnt the 155mph cut off to do with brake dynamics? Ive been told that pads cannot give decent low speed and ultra high speed performance, hence the limit.
cup holders - even base spec UK cars have them - as does any lowest level cheap car. How can BMW not fit them as most mfr seem to be in competition as to how many they can get in a car. The cup holder looks a good strong design - its not a grab handle!

The thing I hate the most about the E60 is the cruise location and function. I liked it far better on the steering wheel. I confuse the lever with the turn signal after 1 1/2 years of driving the E63/E60. Plus why push down/forward to accelerate and pull to coast. I'd rather it be raise the lever to accelerate, lower to coast, and push or pull to cancel.
