How about the placement of the contol for the heated steering wheel. Ever catch yourself turning the steering wheel to see whether it's turned on . . .

The worst thing about the E60 is how the temperature controls have preset temperature numbers written around the dials. All other BMW models except the 6-series and Z4 display the temperature readout digitally.

But digital is easier and safer to use. My old Audi A4 has digital climate control and it's much easier to glance down to see that the current temp is at 70 and then get back to the road and just press the + button 5 times to raise the temp to 75. On the BMW, the numbers are small, hard to read and aren't even backlit that well. Plus, the knob itself blocks the other half of the dial.
I hope the F10 has digital climate control and digital realtime MPG.

1. No place to put cell phone.
2. Drink holders (doesn't fit my super sized coke, 40 ounce Big Gulp, or Riedel wine glass)
3. No place for spare change.
4. The Homelink garage door open only functions whenthe car is on, so you are starting your car with the garage door down.
Just my .02

4. In my old Audi, the Homelink was in the visor, which is a much better place for it since you don't have to worry about shifting the mirror out of place everytime you use it.
5. And in the ceiling, a sunglasses holder would be nice too!

1. What's wrong with: the door pocket, the armrest storage, the storage cup by the ashtray, your pocket, the passenger seat, etc.?

I put my cell phone on the ledge in front of the iDrive screen.

I think the stupidest thing about my car - indirectly - is the fact that owning it led me to actually attempt to read this forum you guys wanna see what the real "stupid" car owners have to say? Check out the forum for, say, Ford Taurus!
E60 IS THE BEST CAR ON THE ROAD TODAY (maaaaybe, not counting the e92 M3 and a few other rides, neither of which are less expensive, more reliable or less "stupid").
