The square openings in the front and rear bumpers are access ports for tie down rings that screw in and out. They must use them to secure the car on the ship. When the vehicle is delivered, the openings will be covered with plastic doors. A tie down ring is included with your car in the tool kit in case you ever need it.
Your are fantastic. Thanks for the info. I figured it had something to do with shipping though. I know I can always count on some good info from this group. Thanks again sir.

I sent this on another thread earlier. It arrived today. They are "supposedly" installing the mods today. I dropped off the wheels and tires at 3:00pm today. It still had to be cleaned up etc. Still "miffed" about the kit thing though. My CA told me today that "whatever" kit he ordered had arrived. I left the dealership around 4:00pm, with the gameplan for him finish the mods and call me for final delivery.
A real beauty. It seems that your dealer was willing to put on the '07 kit, while my dealer arranged to have the port do it. Port refused to do it. In the end, your way was the best way to do it--get around the port and DOT issues. Your car will be BALLS!

Can someome please explain what 'LCI' mean in the 08 vehicles?
Thank god someone finally asked, as I've wondered the same thing a dozen times.

Not a dumb question, just one that i've been meaning to ask for ages but that you have the initiative to actually ask

About a month to go till my LCI 525d se in Space Grey arrives. Has anyone ever internally combusted due to uncontrollable anticipation I wonder?

Cheers

Andy
