Hi guys.

Maybe a trivial topic, but if the side windows are even a little wet and I roll them down, when they roll back up they're all streaky. If I recall, this used to be the case on my e36 (we don't get a whole lot of rain on SoCal, but the windows will be misted in the morning and late evening). My wife's Volvo windows come back up pretty clear.

Do they all do this? Is this something I should have the dealer address (though I dread the thought of the dealer taking apart the doors and window mechanisms--who knows what new gremlins might appear).

you have dirt in the rubber moulding of the window. Roll all your windows down and take either cotton swabs or a terry cloth or something and get in between the moulding and wipe it clean.

It's happened in every car I've had or used...just happened in my wife's brand new mini...and we only picked that up a few hours ago.

Your rollers might be dirty, but overall, this is normal. When you lower your window, the water gets pressed against the rollers and has to go somewhere. I do my best not to lower my windows for a few hours after I wash my car to avoid the streaks.
