guys I read thru some of the post and I seen numerous fix for it.I had my afe and ecu reflashed about 2 months ago with no issues.
but last night coming home stuck in traffic all of a sudden the dredded increase emissions came on and cel.
so my queston is after putting the car back to stock(minus sb,afe)and taking it to the dealer
will they somehow see my ecu flashed?if so will they put it back to stock?car runs fine just has cel on.also any new updates on this problem?
thank in advance.

As long as your car is still running well, either wait a week or two and see if the light clears by itself or scan and reset "Service Engine Soon" light. It could have just been a glitch. The BMW electronics are very glitchy. Make sure it really is a problem before you go see your dealer.
