So pissed right now . ...was on the 405 N, by Harbor in CM doing about 85 and CHP cited me for speeding - was going a little faster than the flow of traffic but the guy had to be a moron and give me a ticket instead of a warning. don't these idiots have a better job to do?? like pull over guys that cut you off, or do 65 on the fwy, or chase down murders...etc..etc...

PS: i know i shouldn't be doing 85 at 7am on a weekday but i just needed to vent - besides, on the e60 we don't even feel the speed until we hit 100+.

Just bought the latest Valentine One because I have 3 tickets under my belt right now.

50/30 (but it is a 35mph and it will probably be thrown out because he wrote in a 30 instead)
65/50 (was going 85 reduced it)
77/55 (assh-le)

2 were by NY state troopers. I have a very good friend who says he is my cousin who will probably help me out with those as he usually does.

The 3rd time I came right on .net...and someone sold me there new Valentine one. I believe member Akalius may still have one for sale. Its a very very good investment. Good luck and ALWAYS plead not guilty.

I feel for you!

Where I got ticket the cop takes a day off to be in court for all his cases. You can just hope he gets a cold the day of and calls in sick!

With one of my last tickets I got it reduced so pleaded guilty to it...in the case before mine the guy had numerous tickets for driving his car off road AT his ex girlfriend and got off lightly, the judge had dealt with him before a number of other times and was all "pally" with him. When my turn came up he reamed me for speeding I just stood there with my mouth open

I need a new detector too....

Do you guys have the "12 point system" over there too? In most european countries when you get done for speeding, you usually get (along with the fine) 3 points on your license. Once you reach twelve your licence is suspended for a while.

I don't know how I've managed to remain points-free since 1991, I really don't. No radar detector either. I generally never go more than 20% over the limit except for short bursts.

In New Jersey we also have the 12 point system. Other states may do it differently. The number of points you receive for speeding depends on the speed. Minimum is 2 and it goes up from there.
