I'm sorry to say but if I did that I'd be in the same state - I think I have some sort of OCD.

I sold my 6 month old S-class because I got a bad stone chip on the hood and did not want it painting.

I really understand how you feel.

Good look with the repair but on the bright side you can always buy a new one if you really can live with it.

In my garage, backing in, handbrake of my motorcycle dug right into my paint down the rear quarter onto the back door. its deep. its not a scratch. it is trough the paint.

my car WAS flawless. now it is a peice of shit. i am shaking and it happened about half an hour ago. i told myself i was not going out tonight because i am a moron and spend a fortune when i go out. so much for that. a few hundred bucks is a mere nothing to the god knows how much this will cost.

i dont even want the car anymore.

i am so mad. i screamed the F word a few times so everyone in a 2 mile radius could hear me. my dirtbag neighbors prob think its funny because they are losers.

this is the worst day of my life... well, this year so far anyway.

i wish my car would just catch fire so i could get a new one.
OCD anyone

This thread reaffirms why I lease my 550. It is a lovely car but, at bottom, it is a rental car that I will turn in when my rental period is over. Because I feel no sense of ownership over it, I have no compunctions about beating the crap out of it on drives. I'll alway be within the warranty period. If I should dent the car, I'll fix it and that's that. The sucker who buys my lease turn in will live with the consequences (when the car gets into the high miles) of all the fun I've had driving it.

I once scratched the hell out of an Infiniti Q45 that I lease (scraped a pillar in a parking garage). Big deal. A body shop fixed it and that was that. And of course, when my lease ended, someone else got to own car whose engine I revved with reckless abandon and whose brakes and suspension I pushed to the outer limits time and again.

No ownership. No guilt.

looksmore like someone keyed it rather than from a motorcycle, i would take it to a collision center or a bmw bodyshop to get best results

Dude, I used to be the same way, would get so upset if a scratch occured but if you use this as your daily driver you just have to realize and learn shit will happen to your car believe me. Especially if you are in a city. I live in terrible traffic, crammed parking zones etc. I remember the first scratch I got, was backing out of a tigh spot and my front bumper scraped on a concrete wall. I was devestated. I was like you and still am-polish it every week, wipe wheel dust every night etc. BUt since then over the past two years, people have opened doors into me, have had numerous little scratches on my bumper, backed into a fence slowly and put a scratch in-I fixed what I could by good polish and wax and over time with 10s of coats of wax most are not even recognizable. I have one similar to yours in the front quarter panel that includes probably 3 scratches that are about half as bad as yours all in the same area. I polish and wax and they are there but honestly dont beat yourself up. I agree get that one fixed since it is quite obvious but for little stuff and future scratches just realie it is a car and you can still spend tons of time and make it perfect, even with a few blemishes, nobody will notice and life goes on-dont stress
