i overreact. thats what i do . no i am not married. i would imagine i would have a very hard time letting my girlfriend or wife drive it. i let a friend drive it one night because i was drunk. it was that or leave it in front of the bar.

i wont be putting it through insurance. if it is a 300-400 bucks like some have said it may be, that is an easy out of pocket. if i stay in the rest of this weekend, it doesnt even affect my budget. i already stayed in last night. I am heading up to that car meet at 9, i am taking it up there with the scratch. maybe i will meet someone who has a shop.

thanks again for your wisdom everyone. i have been in tampa 6-7 months and havent met a lot of people. i have made a few guy friends, but nobody that i feel comfortable enough to call and be a big whiny bitch about a scratch to. and i dont have any close women friends who could pretend to care. well, i do, but they are just trying to get me to date them. i cant let them see me vulnerable .so you guys were my support channel tonight

thanks for the virtual shoulders
Hey, haven't you heard? Scars are sexy! You'll probably pick up some girls at the meet BECAUSE of the scratch! You just need a really good story to go with it...

PS. Wax? What is that?

The car should be totalled. You are absolutely correct - it will never again be right. Professionals and discriminating adults will always be able to see the PATCH. Folks will see you and think less of you. This terrible flaw will negate all of the good things you do...each day. The paint-out-of-a-can will fade quickly and start to flake off. You will not be able to be out in the public arena. You will, starting today, have to order in all of your food and have the delivery person leave it on the front porch. You'll need a lifetime of counselling. This is a bad deal all the way around. You are correct!

I think you are understating a little. But, go ahead, be optimistic....

Sorry about the car but ..... how's the bike !!??

I'm positive one of the car jockey's at my dealer did something similar to my car but couldn't prove it. Took it to a good shop and it came back perfect.

Good luck getting the car (and bike) fixed.

Cheers

Well it certainly appears that the "man up" contingent here at E60.net is alive and kicking.

This actually was one of the funniest posts I've ever read on these forums.

I hope the driver doesn't loose it and trade her in... Could get a limo driver if the driver doesn't feel right behind the wheel...
