Is it possible to wire this up to the DSC button so when you holding it down to shut off the traction control when you release it it goes into sport??

I don't think that would be possible. I found that the DSC button is pushing a rubber bumper thats on a rubber rectangle covering a circuit board on the box holding the electronics that the plugs connect into.

Interesting. If I were willing to cut/drill in the interior i would get a nice lit one and mount it, but i'd rather have something small that's basically hidden

I won't be taking mine back apart but this thread should have most of the info needed. The dash pieces were not difficult to remove, just requires some strategic tugging. Maybe the next person can take some more pics!

This is very interesting and I look forward to hearing more about this mod as well.
Your E60 530i is actually lighter then the E85 z4. With this mod It will raise the RPM shift range giving it better throttle response just like the sport button on the Z4. It is similar to driving in M mode now on your car and keeping the running RPMs above 3.3K

Can anyone put it together in a single DIY with pics and specific instructions for all? Part numbers, and showing how to alter the pins, etc would be great.

I still haven't seen where anyone got the OEM pins & socket for each end. This is if you are going for a stock look obviously.

Thanks!
