Volatile idle on first start of the day.

My Ride: '06 550, Sport/Navi/etceteraetcetera
I've had my '06 550i for a little over a year, and on the first start of the day and any other cold starts it's always done the typical 1200 rpm idle for about 30 seconds, then come down to normal idle.
Well, for about a month now the first start of the day is pretty rough for about 5 seconds -- stutters initially around 200-400 rpm's, then surges to 1500 for a second, then seems to get its balance and does the typical 1200 rpm thing for the usual 30 seconds. On subsequent cold starts during I don't get this response, just the first one of the day. Anyone else experienced this?
