Default e60 misfire/rough idle update / opinions needed

09 535xi , 62k millage ,100 % stock car no mods 2 weeks ago car turned over with bad misfire , running real rough & misfire codes in cyl 2 & 6 since then I put in all new plugs , coil packs and had the intake walnut blasted . since then car pulls like a freight train and runs perfect ..EXCEPT.. when its a cold start .. on a cold start it idles rough , smokes slightly and then becomes smooth as it warms up wont throw any codes .. this is classic symptom of leaking injector as spark plug #6 was blacker than the rest and smelt like fuel so I see here and all over its very very common for this HP injectors to go out .. so I bit the bullet and bought 6 new .. the swap out seems real easy to do my dilemma is this .. #1 I leave for vacation Friday morning if my car sits cold for 5 days do you think Im going to walk into a huge misfire if I don't change the injectors out before I go ?? would be better rom me to change the injectors when get back as the pressure in the fuel lines will be very low but worried that I should do it sooner than later ? also am I doing any un seen or potential damage by driving it ? I am driving it very soft any knowledge anyone car share is helpful

Misfires left unattended can lead to a bad catalyst converter. The cost to change that is real expensive. My rule of thumb is if you have a misfire address it as soon as possible if not you can potentially blow your engine. Worse case scenario of course! I don't know how long you've been getting the misfires but it can cause worse issues.

I told this to a friend of mine 4 months ago and now she has an 2010 truck with 38,000 miles on it with a blown engine and needs a catalyst converter. She says she didn't have the $600 to fix her car. Now she has to pay $8300 to get it fixed (Dealer price).
