Valvtronic motor reinstall VVT
When performing a valve cover replacement on my 06' 525i i attempted to turn the valvetronic motor CW but it wouldnt turn. I then unbolted my VVT motor and it popped out on its own. I'm looking for best procedure to reinstall the motor.
Thanks

I'm in the middle of doing this as well on my '08 528i with 100K miles, just took out the valvetronic motor last nitht and was able to turn it CW while taking it out but it still popped-out, so not all the tension was removed.
To re-install just requires you to bolt it on. To synchronize it once you're ready to start the car requires you to turn the key (or start button) to the 2nd position for about 30 seconds (do not start the car), turn off key for about 10 seconds, turn the key to 2nd position again for another 30 secs and turn it off for about 10 seconds, then turn the car on. The steps as mentioned synchronises the valvetronic motor. Google it and you'll find a couple more guides with similar info
