Hi
My e60 has developed a fault where the boot open warning and chime comes on when driving off. The central locking works OK, the key lock works OK, the electric latch and the remote (via the key) works ok.. The cars body computer doesn't see the boot closed as the indicators don't give the 'single' flash as the car locks and the red alarm light flashes at a fast rate for about 10-20 seconds.
I have tried disconnecting the electrical plug from the latch to no avail. Any ideas where to go next?
It's due for an MOT in a few weeks so if its not a simple fix I may get the dealer to sort it!
