I owned a 996 before my E60, and of course a Porsche is just more fun overall. But using it for a 45-minute commute takes some fun out of it. A real sports suspension is not funny at 7 a.m. on a bad city street, and You might miss a lot of the comfort gadgets from Your E60, depending on the optional equipment of the P-car. My advice: go for the Porsche, take the 550 to go to work with Your mind at ease, and play the 911 at weekends.
And the wife? Ohhh she doesn't matter...

Since the Porsche would be your daily driver with a pretty lengthy commute, I would definitely think it through real carefully. Yes, it'll definitely be fun but if you're stuck in rush hour traffic, that won't be as fun. However, if your wife is flexible and willing to swap cars every now and then, I'd go for it. Your wheels are awesome.. you have to put those on the 550 if you get rid of the 545.

I have been following the thread, he's saying he want something that people would look meaning he want his car to be an eye-catcher. Which I think his E60 is already one with the M-kit and nice wheels.

But of course a Porsche would be more of an eye-catcher.

Telling him to get a plastic surgery is lame and immature IMO. I mean cattman just post to ask our opinion on his car, not his looks. The quality of the people in this forum is good and I think we all want to keep it this way right? There's always exception though and those wouldn't hang around long as they will be ignore sooner or later.

Considering this is the first post from this user, this person may have a grudge against cattman and sign up just to do that as I think there's a better way to say hello I am new to the forum then this.
