Bad news, Benham Stockport left a message today on my phone that TMC is not avilable on bus nav and never will be even with a software update. I think they are wrong. But im still going to get the 13.2 update on thursday.

it will really be helpful if the people who have it done could say which dealer activated, the technician and there number. This would be really helpfull.

Also is TMC activation part of 13.2 or is a seperate feature to 13.2?

Don't blame the radio stations though, they get their info from the same place as TMC!

It's actually the controllers of motorway and trunk road information that should be keeping things more up to date.

It doesn't matter who updates it, it is still not all is made out to be.If BMW have singed a contract with ITIS to supply TMC for their nav systems, they should check on a regular basis that this is being supplied to a satisfactory level so it is of some use to the people actually using it.

dont you just love some dealers....there must be a dozen members on this board now who have cars built before yours who also have BusNav with TMC working yet your dealer still says it cannot be done to be fair my dealer said this as well but was more than willing to try to get it working. It was quite funny most of the staff said "No TMC wont work on BusNav", but there was one Tech guy that just kept saying "yes it will" cue little battle between the staff. Anyway he was right it works

what DVD version do you have? when they install the software make sure they check the "retrofit" screen during the install as I *heard* this screen contains the option to add the TMC fix but I think to be honest it gets installed by default. If you are using the right DVD it should just work.

Once I inserted my 2004-1 DVD i drive rebooted by itself, when it came back up the TMC logo appeared at the bottom of the screen. If you go into the menu I-drive>Traffic Information>TMC you should not see that menu and be able to switch TMC on.

Also what do you mean by checking the retrofit screen? Could you give more details?
