I just spoke to Altwood BMW and they said that the software is on hold????? I couldnt get through to Graham .So then i told them that one of my mate has had it done from you. He then replied that you can only activate it on some cars??? Im confused.

my car is Oct03 build registered dec03 and i saw it working in my car yesterday at the dealers with their 2004-2 DVD.
all you need is at least v13.1 of the software installed, during the install they tech can access a "retrofit" screen which adds the required software fix.
to complete the puzzle you just need to ensure you have a 2004-1 DVD or later and your off and running!!! i'm just waiting for that kind forum member kiwi530i to send me a copy of his then I should have TMC on as well, will report back when its working.

Finally got it booked for next thursday at Benham BMW in Stockport. Very good service. It is booked to get V13.2 downloaded. I will deliver the car about 11.00am and they said that it will be finished by 6.30. Im very happy.

Generally I have found Benhams to very helpful and willing to take issues up with Bracknell and find solutions and fixes to allow my "old" e60 to be updated for things like BFD etc.
