+1000 I'll take an SUV over automotive castration (aka a minivan) any day. Just because I refuse to buy a minivan does not mean I don't prioritize my kids safety, with regards to side impact my kids have car seats rated #1 in side impacts at the time
This one This one
and my E60 has rear side impact airbags. Don't criticize me or insinuate that I don't care about my kids because you chose to go ball-less.

To each his own, but I'd rather keep my E61 clean and trash the minivan. You'll find that to be the case with your household furniture too. They're gonna ruin just about everything and you won't want to spend another dime on good replacements until they're out of the house.

Here's another option for ya.

AMEN.... Ive got 3 boys and can sympathize with this sentiment 100%!

We have:
the family car (Minivan)
and...
the clean car (BMW) for mom/dad and SOMETIMES the kids...

My Ride: 550i Mpkg GT3 HEAVILY Modded.. Nearly all track T-Reg (Wife Mobile) R8 <- Soon

We have 3 kids and pull it off fine.. Our Kids are 5, 3, &1. Put the rear facing or largest (in my case now is the large car seat for the 1 year old) in the middle. We have 2 Recaro Booster seats for my 5 & 3 year old. (Pictured) and then I use 10" seatbelt extensions which put the seatbelt receptacle directly in the pocket of the Recaro Boosters. Works Great in my 550 & My wife's T-Reg. For a brief time I had an Escalade when we first had our 3rd child and quickly realized that it wasn't me...
Lastly the Recaro boosters are under $100 ea. and are gret.. I use them in the R8 & The GT3 which has Recaro Race Seats.. Fits right in..

My Ride: 2006 Titanium Silver 550i, with all the bells and whistles!!

3 boys fit in the back of my car. It used to be real cozy for the oldest when I had a car seat and a booster seat, but now we only have 1 booster seat for the youngest, so a little more shoulder room. my boys are 11, 8, and 4. The trunk is too small for 3 hockey bags though
