You can have a chip installed just for a bit more power...doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

I bought a 525i with the Sports Package and like it very much. All things considered, I would have preferred a 530i with the Sports Package, but the dealer wanted US$5K more for the 530i. Since most of my driving is in city traffic, I couldn't justify the extra money.
The Sports Package is definitely worth the cost, in my opinion. I'd rather have the 525i with the Sports Package than the 530i without it.
