So far I've done RPi exhaust and just removed the charcoal filter I was thinking to give Singh Autosport a try their tune seems to be the most bang for your buck

OP, I have my 550i dyno baseline around here somewhere (on a mustang dynomometer) and my baseline was like 260hp or something like that. It sort of varies from dyno to dyno and climate conditions and stuff like that. Your baseline is going to be the most useful to you and that is what matters.

Also, if you toss the $4k at those Dinan mods, you'll see some gains, and they'll provide more than the 10hp that some guy is claiming you'll see.

But yeah, if you want to mod the car and make it faster than an m5 or something like that, you're going to have to spend a little change, and that means more money than most people spend on just getting the m5. So if you like the 550i, like, a lot, go for it. If not, just sell the 550i and upgrade it.

Feel free to message me if you've got questions about performance modding the 550i. Done a fair amount of experimentation myself.

I agree with above...a properly modded 535i or even a 335i (more parts) I believe will get you near 400HP or so if properly done...I mean if that's what you're looking for.
