He wants 350 at the wheels. So that would be a 50 hp increase over what he is putting down now.

But no argument, supercharging is the biggest bang for the buck.

Correct, and the listed mods won't get him there. They will likely net him 10-20hp. I would love to see a supercharged 550i build thread though, so disregard my previous cost comments! That would be a potent beast indeed!

I would love to supercharge my 550i but to spend 8k plus install etc... I mind as well get an F10 550i. I wouldnt mind a company using my car as a test car for a supercharger

nitrous is the king of bang for the buck, but I'm not sure how many 550 owners are willing to put "the squeeze" on their car. You could easily go over 400 whp with N2O.

Did nitrous on several cars, and I would ony go direct port from my experience just one or two main nozzles leave some cylinders too lean out.

But not the route I want to go on this car.

Ok you all convinced me, I am just going to get an ESS tune just for the little power bump but mainly for torque management. I will post a dyno after the ESS tune just to compare

I will just live with it for a year then get a F10 550 and boost the hell out of it.

Why the first run gives significantly more power at mid revs than later runs?

I am going to do the ESS tune as well, not for the HP gains (which are minimal), but for the increased throttle response and better fuel economy, plus the tune will take better advantage of the other bolt on mods than the mods themselves.

No argument, there, either.

Yeah, that is really strange to me.
