Go to the owners circle link from www.bmwusa.com, do a "SEARCH" also, it had been covered in FAQ....by the way what did you order??? You may need a production number from your dealer to reg for owner's circle.

Owner's Circle on the BMW USA web site is not very granular and days behind.

Your best bet is to call BMW Customer Service at 1-800-831-1117. The system is an interactive voice response one so as soon as it answers say...

"vehicle production status"

The nice lady will say "OK..." so go ahead and speak your production number or the last seven characters/digits of your VIN.

The nice lady will repeat the numbers and ask you to confirm. Say...

"yes" (well, not if she doesn't repeat them back or says she doesn't understand)

She will then run to wherever your car is, plant a wet one for you, and run back to tell you where it is in the process.

Okay, I'm being a smart ass but it's Friday and it's been one of those weeks.

The gist is that this phone based system will tell you more detail that is more current.

For the cat's meow you need to have your sales rep do a Vehicle Status Inquiry on their system (DCSnet or whatever it is). This will give you the actual BMW production status codes, your car's history, all down to the day and minute it was scanned as it went by on the line, was loaded into a rail car holding lot, arrived at the port, etc.

Make friends with your CA and have the dealer check their computer often, since it's the most up to date!
