Just the 535i with the sport auto transmissions option came with the sport button.

I just installed the sport button in my 545 manual. When activated I have better throttle response and tighter steering at higher speeds. Easy enough to install

I believe it makes a difference if a car is equipped with "Dynamic drive" and "Active steering", those 2 options make much difference when in sport mode.
