Hello All:

I have another newbie question. My 2004 545i has the sport package, but I do not have a sport button. Is this common? Am I missing something? I confirmed I have the Sport Package and Steptronic. But no Sport Button.

Sport button is for 2008+ 5-series with Sport automatic transmission.

In the Steptronic the "sport" mode is acheived by moving the shifter to the left. It will then display "S" on the dash and you are in the sport mode. From the left position you can also use the steptronic manual mode by pushing up and down, which will turn the "S" to an "M" on the dash. Good luck.

You mean "DS" instead of just "S" on the 04-05 models.

In addition, in 2004 through 2007, the sport button was present on all SMG cars...
