Here you'l find some very good ideas to lose weight:

(if you'r inpatient, forward to 2:30 min play)
I just keep 5 liters of gas in my tank so the car is lite at all times...however, I do stop at every gas station to fill up and I also only have a 30km driving range. A well I have to do sacrifices to keep the car lite. Can't have evrything.

Thank you Rudy, for being considerate enough to consider the possible country variations.

But no.. the standard floor mats are the same ones as the ones that are made in the US

Oh well.. so much for a silly thought..
Are you sure we're talking about the same mats? Maybe the "standard" mats aren't the same as the ones that come with "premium package" cars (like my 550i?)

All I know is that I've seen some photos on this site of cars outside the US that have mats that are much different than the ones I have...

I find that if I eat a load of bran and take a dump before I get in my car I can shave eight pounds of the rolling weight ! then I find no need to leave the mats at home

Well what I did last week is that I removed 4 of the 5 bolts holding each wheel...I mean the car doesn't feel as safe now (lots of vibration) but you got yo do what you got to do....

I am also thinking about removing the windshield and the rear glass...so I greatly reduce weight...but then again I will have to wear glasses all the time to protect my eyes from debris making the car a bit heavier...not sure guys...please advise on this....

making sure you send your wife/GF, family or kids to take buses! They are too damn heavy to ride with.
