Small issues / annoyances in 05

Question

For the life of me i cant just put gas in automatically.... you know ...put the nozzel in put the clicker on ...walk away till its full.... not me ... i ve tried 8 different gas stations and cant get to to go past $4 till it unclicks and i have to hold the lever .. it even unclicks when i hold the lever manually.... VERY ANNOYING ....

also should my NAV system allow me to see Hotels , Points of interest etc ?
because it doesnt ...

i have an 03 530 born 10/04

NAV does have the POI's somewhere in the latest software, there was a recent thread on this...I dont have NAV so I cant say, but where is the Iceman???

I'm here.
POI's, gas stations, Restaurants and Hotels, etc. ar ein the nav under "Information". You can select at your destination or from your current position or other place and you get a list. After you are getting the list and not selecting a destination you even see the icons on the map.

The trick is that the "Information" choice that Iceman is referring to is under "New Destination" -- not the most intuitive place to put it.

You can safely select "New Destination" while navigating and you won't interfere with the currently selected destination. Just select new destination then information and you'll get what Iceman is talking about...

FWIW - I have no problems with automated gas pumping....

Maybe call the dealer and ask them about the gas pump problem.

for the gas pumping problem, sometimes rotating the nozzle a bit will help the location not be so sensitive to the pressure and allow it to pump without premature shutoff. Also, you might try not putting the nozzle in quite so far. I've had this happen on other cars too, and these 2 things seem to help.
