So when travelling fast the water will splash out onto the side windows and front doors, making the car dirty again, as the water attracts dirt and dried leaving some cloudy traces.

not a problem that is unique to BMW's....all my previous cars with folding mirrors did the same thing.....water always collects behind the mirror glass somewhere.
