Check with you guys whether this annoy you. Everytime after giving my ride a good wash and dried, some water would be trapped in the side mirrors. So when travelling fast the water will splash out onto the side windows and front doors, making the car dirty again, as the water attracts dirt and dried leaving some cloudy traces.

That is true. You just have to drive faster to make it dry quicker

Haven't noticed this problem. I try not to get too much water/soap on the mirrors and just hand wipe them clean.

I've noticed that a lot of water is under the mirror. So after the wash, just take a towel and dry the bottom of the mirror. It helps a lot. There is still some water trapped inside of the mirror housing, but you've allready taken a lot of water away.
Have you tried folding the mirrors before the wash? I will try that the next time. Maybe this helps a little more.

I haven't met the folding sideview mirror that didn't do that.

If mine does it, it has yet to mention it to me. Must be female after all keeping secrets like that.

I have noticed the same. My old 3 did it too and it isn't to annoying for me. Only thing I wonder is why my old 3 and the new 7 have the little bumps on the top of the mirror and the E60 not (I like them better without the bumps). Has this something to do with windnoise???

Yes, I believe the "bumps" on the top are there to reduce wind noise. Don' think they are there for styling purposes or aerodynamics.

At the place where they wash my car, they have an air hose. After they washed it and before they chamois it, they blow the water from areas like that. It works great.
