Every time I searched for certain topic, the forum came back with the message: " Your search for the term '..........' returned xxx results", but instead of the results of the search I still see all the regular posts.

What did I do wrong and how do I get the search results?

To be honest I typically just use Google.

Search: site:5series.net + search term

Also, I just tested the site's search and am not having issues. If I type in something and hit search it shows me all the threads with those terms. You have to read through them to find the match.

If you want to see the exact posts, use the detailed search function:

https://5series.net/forums/index.php...search_in=core

Click "Forums" instead of the default of "Help Files". This will bring up new options. From there you can select: Display results [x] As posts [ ] As a topic list

The problem with general searching is if you search "door panel removal" the search result will bring back every post that has any of these words and removal is very generic so the return will be very high. Google seems to work better.
