Default Seal at the bottom of the rear window

My 2010 528xi has what looks like a seal at the bottom of the rear window. It runs the length of it and is made of plastic and felt. You cannot see it unless you open the trunk lid. Mine is easily moved or removed. I guess it is a way to move water running down the back window to either side to drain in the troughs in the trunk. You can see the part (#6) in the following:

My question is if this piece is supposed to be glued or stuck in place.

Mine was not. I just replaced the seal around the top and sides of the rear window and it kind of locked into that bottom seal you described. After removing the top and side seals that bottom seal just pulled right off. Look at where they overlap though and the two seals kind of link together to keep the water running down towards the taillight.

Thanks. I'll check it tomorrow morning. Mine wasn't locked on either end. It just slides right off.

I found that the seal is connected on the ends to the side seals, but it is not connected elsewhere along it's length. Is that the same as yours?
