Dear Veight,

You seem not to be a specialst on BMW, no problem, here you will be one.

But please update your car specs on My Controls.
This way it's easier for your fellow Forum members to help you.

A E60 is the current 5-series, the old 5-series was (is) called E39.

The E60 comes with a spare ( and a jack).

Many of us who owned a E60 for a longer time, no not like the Run
Flat tires because they are hard, heavy (in pounds) which isn't good,
because of the unsuspended mass (weight) and seem to harm the
driving comfort in all.

Even good old AC/DC knew this one:
I got the Jack...
Thanks. I don't claim to be an expert on BMW's thats why I'm asking these questions.
I did know at least that the E60 was the current 5.

I am here now seeking info because I am planning on ordering on Saturday. Im planning on a 550 but I wanted to get input BEFORE I order so I have all the facts the dealers don't tell you.

Run Flats, good or bad seems strange that some get jacks and some don't. If people dont like the run flats why donn't you replace them with regular tires, seems like a small price to pay if it affects driving comfort.

I will post my car specs after I order cause I'd just be guessing at this point. Unless you really want to know about my 97 toyota 4 runner.

Thanks for the help.

New E60 have the spare in EU but it is not a normal fullsize wheel.

And the jack, of course, comes with it, plaese do not bulls**t.

I have mine sitting in my garage... Run Flats... why carry more weight? BUT I DO WANT IT...
When my Wife bought the 330xi (2003) she got a full size spare with a 5th BMW alloy wheel that matched the other 4. Boy did they save money when they went to runflats.

BMW may have thought they were saving money when they decided to put runflats on their cars, but I'm on my third set of tires after 19,000 miles all courtesy of BMW.

Whats going on with your run flats? That an average of 9,000 miles per set if you just got your 3rd.
