Please verify that you switched the power door mirror control switch to the other miiror when putting the car in R.

Hi,

Sure did. Tried the mirror selector switch in both settings.

Cheers.

Curious. I thought the tilt/dipping exterior mirror was standard on all 5's. Do you have the folding mirrors option? Do the folding mirrors also dip? Otherwise, sounds like a trip to the dealer...

This issue has been already discussed in one of the threads earlier. Apparently tilting mirror is not standard (at least in Europe), it requires memory seats.

3.
When reversing, should the two exterior mirrors tilt down to allow you to see what you are reversing against?

5.
Should there be a torch in the glove-box.

3. If you have comfort seats you have memory function and it's a part of it. But it's only the passenger mirror that tilts down.

5. In the US, yes. In Europe you can retrofit it.

#3. - on, not both - just the right side mirror - and only if its NOT selected with the switch (the mirror adjust switch)? thats ho it is in the US at least.

#5. - i have a flashlight on the left to the flashlight. if flashlight = torch then i guess yes.

You don't need comfort seats to have the seat memory function. The sport seats have memory (on the driver's side only) and the mirror will dip in reverse...
