I got the warning triangle but no first aid and ,of course, no flash light.

You all are too funny. At last I try to learn a little more on English-American car words.

BMW UK have taken over the distribution of cars in Ireland so an Irish spec car will be the same as the UK.

- Checked and the external door mirror doesn't dip when reverse is selected.
- OBC functionality is crap
- Triangle+First aid kit in the boot trunk thing.
- No torch/flashlight when I collected the car.

Hi,

Sure did. Tried the mirror selector switch in both settings.

Cheers.

Curious. I thought the tilt/dipping exterior mirror was standard on all 5's. Do you have the folding mirrors option? Do the folding mirrors also dip? Otherwise, sounds like a trip to the dealer...

I read somewhere thay it was a feature on all BMW's. Maybe it is a fault.

It's certainly won't be the end of the world if it didn't work, but it's a nice handy feature as I sometimes manually tilt the mirror down when reversing. Not sure how accurately or how much they tilt but on a rental Navigator I had while on hols in the US, they tilted down (not enough) and never returned to the normal position properly when going forward.

Cheers

Wow, just think...with all the new language I'm learning here, I'm ready for a GB car manual...any other term I should know before I get my "bum" kicked for not using the right phrases...
