Hey can anyone tell me if my e60 550i comes with daytime running lights? And if so how do I turn them on. I checked in the settings, and don't see a option for it. My buddy's 06 3 series has it tho, and I seen an 04 530i with it.

If i'm not mistaken I believe it depends on the year of your model. 2004-2007 the inner lights (flash-to-pass) are used as the drl and they are preset by the dealer to be on or off. Lci models can make the selection from the i-drive. Hope that helps.

my setting simply allows the HEadlight fucntion to auto turn off when i turn the car off.
Basically, if it wasn't on, it would go to parking lights and warn me i left my lights on.

The standard auto funtion does the same however is also light sensitive too.

could anyone tell me if there system is different

in my idrive i can select daytime running lights which turns the headlights on. at first i thought that this function allows only for the eyebrows to run which would have been pretty cool.

i dont see the point of having an option in idrive to have daytime running lights which basically means lights on, when i can simply turn my light switch to on and i have the same. but my light switch is always on auto and daytime running lights option is off.
