Well, even the Map Facing North veiw doesn't tell me every street name, only selective. I zoom it all the way to 400 ft.

Far too much whining going on here. Perspective view is just that, a perspective of your upcoming route. Don't like it? Switch to another map. They have now made it easy to toggle views although the voice command was alway there.

BMW have catered to all brains with these views. For those of use who know our geography and have a sense of direction, 'map facing north' is an excellent guide. Now if you truly need a navigation system, I mean someone with no sense of direction and geography, 'Map facing N' is useless. Map direction of travel is better and 'Perspective' is the bomb. Different strokes for different folks.

Now, if you must whine, then talk about the ability to find places from the information menu. You should just be able to start dialing by alpha for the restaurant or place and get a short list. Also should be able to sort by alpha in addition to distance.

Perspective View is absolutely worthless IMO. I agree. It's just a cartoon feature.

"Map - Direction of Travel" is my favorite. The arrow is always facing up and you can easily see whats ahead, to the left, to the right, etc. And it's intuitive which direction to turn (even for my directionally challenged wife).
