I've been having the same problem. BMW issued a recall for it and they'll replace it for free as long as it's the mat in the passenger seat throwing the code.

 

funny mine went off the other day too and went away when i turned on the car, first time i ever see that error and its been since sunday and hasn't came back. how do i know if mine falls under the recall? figure id have it checked out before it happens again.

 

your lucky yours went away men and just call the dealer or bmw of north america and give them you vin
