But I do not wash my car, I have it washed.
This Monday I had it waxed too, including the rims!
When have the tyres changed (from winter to summer or vica versa)
I always require that they wash the rims properly, also from the inside.

My Ride: 2004 BMW 525i with Leon Hardiritt Kloster Wheels 19x9 on Bridgestone Potenza RE-750 (245/35/19) and 19x10 (275/30/19). Premium package with no NAV, no BT, no Xenons.
Has anyone used the Power Ball? I'm curious as to how effective and abrasive this method is for cleaning and polishing aluminum chrome wheels.

the service records are important, but that has to do with manufacturing type defects and warranty issues, the rim cleaning issue has to do with how the owner cared for the car
as an aside, it makes me wonder, if all cars are built the same why are some always in the shop (like yours
) and others never have a problem?

I'm 4 clean inside with a wheel brush and to clean behind the spokes I bent another wheel brush. Using just car shampoo it takes only about 4 mins per wheel, but they must be cleaned often otherwise it's a wheel cleaner gel job and takes a lot longer. In winter I might try giving them a squirt of wheel cleaner just before going through the car wash (someone else's idea from detailing forum) defininatey beter than neglecting them altogether. ( I always look at the wheels when buying a s/h car)
