My Ride: Bmw 530d 2004
Hello!
I wanted to test an amplifier and subwoofer in my 530d today and I dit it. I started the installation by disconnecting the battery. Installing was ok and everything worked. But after a period of testing the onboard computer announced that the battery voltage were low. I shut down everything and unistalled the amp and the sub. My mention was just to give it a test anyway. But after I connected the battery again after uninstallation and started a car, onboard computer told me that ABS and driving control aren?t workin and neither is tyre pressure controlling (or whatever it is)...?
Damn I thought! Did I really broke something or what is it? Can you tell?
edit: Couple of guys on a Finnish forum say that low voltage of a batt may cause this announcement but nothing should be really broken. I hope so.

I just got my car back from the shop. I had multiple faults: car too warm - drive slowly; car overheated - stop car; ABS failure; and finally the I Drive died. Brough the car in and they diagnosed as a voltage problem. Replaced the battery and some wires and then tested it out. No faults. Everything was fine. It was the low voltage that casued the error messages.
