Possible to Hard Wire an OEM ABS/Speed Sensor
Dont know how, but somehow something got into the wheel well and yanked the ABS sensor wires. To make it worse, I bought a new sensor(the one with the plastic plug) but the damage seems to be on the connector coming from chassis wiring side.
Question: Is it possible to cut off both of those big plastic connectors and add my own? Just wondering if there are any resistors or anything built into those long plastic OEM connectors
I traced the ABS sensor wire through the harness, but its part of the main harness, so my only option will be to cut off the connectors and put on my own(luckily I have a ton of motorsports connectors so that wont be an issue).

Judging from this e46 thread, it seems to be ok to solder them together without the connectors..... but just looking for confirmation before I go snipping

Those plastic boxes are there to protect the connectors from the elements. As long as you solder the wires properly and shield the solder joints, that should be ok.
