I been trying to locate this oil leak on my '06' e-60 about every 45 to 60 days I have to add a quart of oil I noticed oil drips under the front of car near the water pump but it looks like its running down from the oil filter housing I also notice oil around the top of the housing can anybody give me some insight to what to look for ?

 

what engine u got ? if V8 then its an alternator bracket seal

Oil filter housing gasket. It's a pretty easy and inexpensive DIY fix on the N52 as long as you have the correct tools.
