I never asked but did they give you a loaner for those 7 weeks. The Dynamic drive error showed up once when I think i took a really hard turn when the car wasnt fully warmed up. After i let it rest for a while it went away and never came back. Hope that helps. Good luck man.

What's goin on broski. For a split second, I was thinking, naw i don't need an extended warranty. Luckily I did man. When the car was an my indy shop, I didn't get a loaner. But when I brought the car to the dealer, they did hook me up with a light blue 328. I was happy about that. I too did get a Dynamic drive error in the past, but it went away. So right now, I'm letting the car sleep for the night. BTW man, off topic, I got the rims, Mtech Bumper, and tint installed. I'll be getting the trunk/roof spoiler soon and that'll be it (for now). Thanks for chiming in bro, see you around the Bay.

Both Dinamic Drive and Active steering are on the same "circuit" and steering oil is driving both pumps . If you have a leak somewhere it will trigger the above errors. Check your power steering oil level.

You know what, I'm actually running 245/35-19 275/30-19. I started up the car today and drove it around and no iDrive issues. I'm certain it's a weak battery like some of the others have mentioned. Thanks for chiming in.

Double checked the power steering oil. All seems ok. No iDrive issues today - all systems clear.

I just recently purchased a 2004 545i and I've also had a few occurrences where I would get 'Dynamic driving malfunctions' and 'active steering malfunction'. I'm not quite sure what is causing it but the car seems to still drive/steering normally when these malfunctions randomly pops up. After turning off the engine and starting it up again the next time I'm about to drive, these malfunctions are no longer there.

Could it also be my battery, like you guys stated with the OP?
