Wait so the two front doors dont match now? Hahahaha they made the drivers door "more ergonomic" and added the hole so you can pull the door close but didnt do that to the passenger side? That just looks hokey!

Isn't it strange that the engines are warm (look at the rev counters), or is this feature discontinued for the LCI as for the E90? Can any LCI owner confirm?

No it doenst look discontinued... it looks like its there.. but the engine is off so you cant tell if its warm or not. Thats just how it looks when the car is off. I forget but I believe the V8s leave 3 dashes on the top and will never go away.

Did anyone notice that there now appears to be four controls around the headlight switch -- one for the dash lighting, one for HUD, one for front foglights, and could the other -- finally -- be for REAR fogs???? Or is it maybe the night vision button??

Also, the 550 sport does not appear to have a trunk lid spoiler as shown in the US product brochure (a good thing for me).

Pictures of 2008 5, 550 and 535. Both appear to be in Monaco blue. If link doesn't work, page 31 in gallery.

550i is carbonschwarz, not Monacoblau.

Awesome color (which is why I am getting it on my car).

Nice find. It is about time we get some real pics of the US 550i. Now I just have to wait until May 9th for mine!

I ordered carbon black as well. However the pictures posted have the 550 and 535 in the exact same color (based on photos). Carbon black is exclusive to the 550 sport in the US, no 535 option, thus I believe they are both Monaco blue. Also having had seen carbon black, as I am sure you have, the photos appear almost completely blue (not black with blue overtones). Anyway look again and tell me what you think. Yes I agree great color and can't wait to see it on my car. Good luck with yours.

Thanks.

Are you sure about the colour? IMO the 535i is Deep Sea Blue...

No, haven't been there in person so I can't say for sure. I am going today. Comparing pictures from prior post though 550 looks too blue to be CB. Not sure of 535. A friend was there yesterday, couldn't get close but said from distance both looked same color...blue. I tried other searches for listing but came up with nothing, I will find out later hopefully.

Thanks

Nice improvements overall However, I agree with EBMCS03...whassup with the door handle change on the drivers side? That't's just goofy! Also, the round door speakers don't look as integrated as the previous design that flows with the lines of the door panels, and the rear trunk panel looks like an add-on...not as fluid as the original design...but then that's what I think about the M5 trunk lid finisher as well (jmo). But overall the new car is greatly improved. I'd love to have the new exhaust set-up.

I?m not going back to the show so I can?t look again, sorry. I was there most of Thursday and that was more than enough. We (one of my friends who is a BMW product mgr) and I were debating the color. I called it as carbonschwarz and he wasn?t sure. So we did the only logical thing. Opened the hood.

Good luck with yours also. I won?t see mine until 15. Oktober at the opening of BMW Welt for deliveries.
