many thanks everyone for the advice and comments...what a great forum..wish I'd found this months ago!

mmm - for what it's worth ..
Sytner Solihull - nice, experienced and decent trustworthy sales manager David Blythman. (Have known him for 16 years)
Coopers Tunbridge Wells and Altwood Windsor are a complete waste of space. Appalling treatment - both Sales and service.
I normally buy new cars abroad; - but due to the weakish pound and the 3 year warranty, I bought this one in the UK at Coopers.
I regret it.
(I think I have been ripped off for BMW mats that are "3rd party" - and I have lots of other gripes.)
If buying now;
(i)I would buy in Germany and get RHD at 15% off uk price ( after all costs taken into account) Target UK discount is 6%
(ii) Be very very careful about spec.
It's a wonderful car - but the dealers treat you so badly.
(iii) consider waiting for the 535D see ISUK's post!

Me too I think. let me guess, no monogram, poor fittting - drivers side mat has come away from it's mount point?
