Need help can't change cluster and ccc's vin number
Hi guys.
I have a few problems with my car. My car is BMW 523i model e60 2006.
Let me tell you guys from my root problems. First, my CCC was broken so I went to the 3rd party to retrofit used parts of CCC from e90 as follows
Name---------Vin No.---------ZB No.
ASK ----------NB28120------9185563
ANTTU-------NB28120------9185625
MOSTGW---NB28120------9185555
MMI/CCC----NB28120-----9185623
CCC----------NB28120------9197798
As mentioned above, my problem was when I changed vin no. of all CCC parts in tool32. The result window showed as “OKAY” but when I rechecked them in INPA, every Vin No. didn’t change. Somebody told me they were caused by the emulator of my CCC. Is there any solution for my problems?
Another problem was the instrument cluster. I also replaced my instrument cluster with used one without any change of vin No.. B’cause I’m a newbie for BMW, so I didn’t notice of the tamper dot problem until it showed up. After that I programmed it via tool32 but vin no. didn’t change. I wonder if there is another way to change cluster vin No. with OBD cable, or can anyone guide me how to reprogram eeprom through m35080 program? My cluster vin No. is CM18919 and ZB No. is 9194888 .
My car can’t be adjusted for air distribution, auto light sensitivity, home light time etc. When I tried to adjust either one of them, it always returned to the default value. And this was also with my service due indicator, after the replacement of the instrument cluster, it turned to yellow triangle which doesn’t respond to any adjustment. Are all of these effects caused by the vin no. of CCC parts and cluster mismatched?
Thank you for any comments you may have for me.

Did you ever get this sorted? Looking at replacing my clocks (think I broke them while changing LED's to white!) but not sure I want to bite bullet if I'm going to experience these issues!

You will not be able to change the vin in the Cluster. The only way to do that (theoretically) is to take out the Cluster and change the chip. Short of that there is no software tool available to do that. Trust me I have researched that extensively. You can change the vin in the CCC using Winkfp.
