Do you have the Navigation Professional system in your car? If you do and depending on the production schedule of your car and the market you are in, it appears you may get the new i-Drive.

If you don't have the Navigation Professional, I believe you'll just get the new controller.

Okay, now I think I got it. Thanks for the clarification. I won't be having Navigation Professional so no new iDrive for me (let's see about new controller when the car comes).

Hi, I'm new here....... just wanting to pick your brains on this.....

What's actually different on the new iDrive & iDrive Controller?

Will a week 41 E61 have the new version?

We've got an UK E61 M-Sport Touring on order with the Satellite Navigation Professional & 6CD options (Media Pack), so I'm interested in whether we're going to get this new stuff and what's different from the demonstrator we drove at the dealership!

Whether you get the new i-Drive or not will depend upon which market you are in, but judging from your production week, it appears you will get the new i-Drive controller. The information circulating states that the new i-Drive will be available starting October/November production vehicles with Navigation Professional system (market dependent).
