Was the throttle body harness disconnected?

We have seen people get the throttle sensor error when they don't disconnect the battery (before unclipping the throttle body connector).

In addition, we have seen this problem when someone moves the butterfly valve inside the throttle body.

Search on those threads.

Holly thread resurrection Hello BMW fans, can you think with me what i should do? I have an E61 525i 2004 M54B25, I replaced the waterhose under the intake, so I had to remove the intake. I replaced the CCV system and intakegaskets. Now everything is back together and the car doesnt start. When I check with inpa for errors I get:
27F8 - Throttle Position Sensor 2
2741 - Throttle Position Sensor 2: Power Supply
27C4 - Main Relay
27C7 - Main Relay: Switch Time
28B2 - RPM Limitation: Control
299B - IBS Intelligent Battery
What I did and didn't help:
  • Clear fault codes
  • Checked the connector for the throttle body and cleaned it
  • reset adaptations for the throttle body
  • reset all adaptations in de DME using inpa
  • Replaced the throttle body (drosselkappe) and reste adaptations
  • Unhook the battery for 15 min
The start motor turns but the car doesn't start. Can you help me what I should do next?

Here's my guess.

While you were cleaning the throttle body you moved the butter fly valve during the cleaning process and this created havoc.

Idea:

Remove air filter assembly. Spray in 'quick' start fluid into the hose going to the throttle body while cranking the car.

Thanks, I also tried another throttle body from the junk yard (and reset adaptations in inpa) but that made no difference.
I removed the MAF and sprayed brake cleaner in the intake and the car ran for 3 seconds. What does this mean? It seems there is spark. But when I push the valve on the fuel rail there also is high pressure fuel... Maybe there is something with the injectors? I cleaned the outside of them and replaced the rubber O-rings between the injectors and fuel rail... or do my faultcodes maybe point to a dead fuse?

Today i checked all fuses and relays . They are all ok. I decided to retrace my steps, the car ran before I took of the intake and now it doesn’t so lets do everything over. It seems there’s spark air and no fuel so i’ll try to let the injectors spray in a plastic bottle tomorrow..

Here's another guess.

When you took off the intake (somehow) the crank shaft position sensor wire came loose.

The car won't start if that sensor is malfunctioning.
