Default Car just tries to start

I have been helping out a buddy of mine. He has a 05 530i Auto w 147K on it. He tried to start his car this morning and it just tries to start but the engine will not start. The starter just keeps trying to start the engine. He went and got a camshaft sensor and crankshaft sensor. He put it in and still will not start. He check to see if it was getting gas and it is. The car has been working fine up until this morning. He lives in Tampa and its warm here. We are out of options at this point. Their is no error messages.

Anyone have a clue what this could be.

Try disconnecting the oil level sensor ,, if faulty it will cause a no start issue . Something you can try thats easy to do.. good luck .

I think this means the car isn't happy with the key. As I recall reading sometime or another, if the key and car get out of sync somehow, the car will crank, but not start. Have you tried another key? Not sure what the procedure is to resync the key and car. Besides "EWS", "DWA" might be another Google keyword.

This is a copy of the message I am getting. It seems that both keys are out of sync. Does anyone have the software to sync the keys back up

Have you tried a second key or the flat plastic spare key?

I finally found out what was wrong. The keys were out of sync so i went to the CAS module in INPA and reinitialized then programmed it. Turned the key and it started. Both keys work now. Hopefully it solved the issue for good.

I have no idea. he wanted to do the same thing I did to my valve body so he took it out and sent it in to be rebuilt. While he was waiting on it he did brakes an rotors. He got the vb back in then installed it drove it around for a couple of miles and then it sat for about 4 days. When he reset the trans adaptions he might of went into something he should not have. It was his first time so he could not tell me. I also found the code 27A0 (P3227) E-Box Fan: Control Low voltage. He is going to have that looked at tomorrow at an Indy shop. I took the E-Box apart but could not find anything. The fan works but the ECU was real hot. I told him it could be because the battery was about dead.
