I have an 07 E60 with usb 6FL option fitted.

Works fine with 1GB usb key.

However I have tried connecting several keys simultaneously through a mini-hub but only one shows up on iDrive. The user manual seems to suggest that multiple usb devices can be connected.

Any suggestions?

I guess I could just get a bigger capacity key...

 

Can't say I've tried that, but I think the manual is refering to the fact that the I-Drive will cache (index) upto 4 usb devices so that the information doesn't have to be read from the key each time?

bardel is correct -- the car can't work with more than one USB device at a time but it will remember (cache) the directory of up to 4 devices to help things load more quickly when you switch them...
