I'd be interested in hearing what kind of MPG numbers people are getting in the 545i with automatic transmission. BMW is saying 18/26. I'm a bit disappointed in the relatively small size (18.5gal) of the fuel tank as I have a Volvo S80 T6 with a 21gal tank. With a round trip 70 mile daily commute it looks like one tank will be borderline to get me through the week. (Not a cost issue...I just hate filling up the tank constantly.)

With less than 1k miles on car Im hitting 17 around town (avg 36mph) and 26 on the highway.

I'm getting around 18 in the city, no real long highway drives yet so I don't have a good highway # yet. The tank is a bit on the small size, so I do find myself filling up every weekend. My prior vehicle was a suburban, where the mpg was worse, but with a 27 gallon tank, it was usually 2 weeks+ between fillups during normal commute driving.

I have put about 2000 miles on my 545i. While I have not checked the mpg very carefully, the 18/26 that BMW quotes seems quite accurate. Considering the fact that it has 325 hp, it seems to be to get fantastic gas mileage on the highway. I believe that the 6 speed auto helps in this respect.

Think I'm getting about 15mpg, but I drive like a mofo at the moment. I do expect my MPG to increase in the future.

I?m getting 19/26 Mpg with my 545iA. Have driven it for 4300 miles now.

Worst so far is between 12.5 - 13 Mpg. Very high speed driving on twisting roads.

Speeds between 100 - 200 km/h. AS, ARS and my 19" makes you smile all the time driving like this
