Hey guys, so I made an MP3 CD-RW for my car, but for some reason the CD wont work. Did I do something wrong? I had a 330Ci before with OEM MP3 CD capability and the CD worked in there, I dont know what the issue could be.

When I insert the CD nothing happens, it doesnt give any errors or anything, but it also doesn't start playing or anything either. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks guys

btw- dunno if it matters, but I have an 06 M5

My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny. 2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter. Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.

It is quite possible that your CD player is not coded to play MP3's. You might want to check with your dealer, next time you see them.

hmm I thought for 06 they could all Play MP3s. I'm taking the car in for service sometime soon, so I guess I'll have em check that out too, unless some1 else knows what the problem could be

get it checked if mp3 is coded not all vehicles have that enabled regardless of build date.
