Interesting question! It's something I'm gonna look into because I use Deigo myself:
Deigo well on the motorway;
Deigo well in the wet;
Deigo good when its dry;
Deigo fine when its cold;
Deigo great in the snow;
And when Deigo flat?! Deigo "wop-wop-wop"!!!
Sorry ... couldn't resist!

Tire pressure will make a difference, personally I keep 36 psi front, 40 psi rear and my Dunlops ride fairly firm. This makes the car dance, and way more fun every time you want to drive it like you stole it........

Just rode in an 08 535i sport and seemed a bit softer than my 07 550i sport (the former having dunlops, latter having the bridgestones). are the dunlops softer ?

I second that - I have Bridgestones and my friend has a 535 with Dunlops. His ride - even though it is an i vs my Xi - is MUCH smoother. The sidewalls on the BS's (pun intended) are friggin horrible. As a matter of fact, so much so, that I suspect them to be responsible for a recent cracked rim I've had...

Sorry no experience with Bridgestone RFT but I thought Dunlops felt like the car was riding on rocks.... HATE those tires...
I have had both on my 545. First the Dunlops, then the Bridgestones. I hated both of them. Right after I swapped them, it felt like the Bridgestones were a little softer than the Dunlops, but that may have been because I was comparing tires with worn tread (the Dunlops) to tires with full tread (Bridgestones) at the time. This swap was at BMW's expense due to the Dunlop wear/noise issue that supposedly has been corrected. I am now riding on Michelin PS2 non-runflats and would highly recommend that you avoid runflats entirely if at all possible. The difference in ride and noise is substantial and I think that the safety factor of runflats is pure marketing B.S. Unless you are a little old lady who never checks her tire pressure and frequently drives through uninhabited portions of southern Utah, stay away from runflats.
